New Year’s Activities for Seniors

New Year’s is coming up within a matter of days, woohoo! Don’t worry, there’s still plenty of time to come up with an amazing shindig. Here are a few suggestions to get ideas flowing…

Host a Time-Period Party

Choose a time-period from your past and use that as the basis for your New Year’s Eve party. Let’s use the 50’s as an example…

Your guests can expect a sock hop with a little Elvis Presley and Chuck Berry playing on the radio. Perhaps, cheeseburger sliders with root beer floats, poodle skirts, and perfectly greased hair. How much fun could you have decorating for that?

Dream Job Party

As a kid, you probably dreamed of what you wanted to be when you grew up. Did that dream come true?A unique twist on that childhood dream is to dress up as what you hoped to become.

Maybe you dreamed of being a professional baseball player, but you ended up taking over the family business. Maybe you wanted to be a pilot, but you became a nurse.

Host a New Year’s Eve Brunch

No matter how old you are, staying up until midnight is not for everyone. If you get tired thinking about staying up that late, then ring in the new year early. So, arrange for your group of friends to meet at a local restaurant.

Now, with these intriguing ideas are you ready to ring in 2022? We would love to hear a positive story or even a quick comment about it! However, if you happen to need some extra convincing, then please feel free to join our senior community to connect and communicate with others. That way, you can post pictures of costumes and plating. In the meantime, please like us on Facebook and follow us on Instagram, plus check out our sponsorship opportunities if you’re a service provider.
