Senior Season Fashion

It’s shopping time for women of all ages! With the season of spring just around the corner, you might be focusing on certain colors such as pastels (pink, yellow, green, baby blue, etc.) It is completely natural to gravitate towards items of clothing that contain colors you love! However, just purchasing based on colors might not be the best thing to do, and here’s why…

As we get older, our skin changes as well. Many of the colors that looked absolutely fabulous on us when we were younger may not make us sparkle the same way they used to. If you still want to wear those colors that you absolutely adore, even if they don’t compliment your skin, consider wearing them on your pants and shoes, rather than on your shirt. For example, match your red capris with a green top, or yellow leggings with a blue top, and don’t forget the accessories that can add in a pink hue.

Then, you might want to consider color analysis. This is the process of identifying the colors that will be most flattering to an individual based on their skin tone, natural hair, and eye color. (Make sure you factor in yourself without any makeup.) More recently, the four seasonal palettes have been expanded into 16, to take into account the fact that many people have coloring characteristics common to more than just one season. Basically, you could be a spring, autumn combination or a summer, autumn combination in your sixties, but maybe when you were younger you were an autumn, winter combo.

So, if you happen to be shopping and like to share the many colors you love for spring and summer of 2021, we would love to hear from you! However, if you happen to need attire suggestions, please follow us on Instagram and Facebook
